I'm often asked why there's usually a ginger dog in my paintings.
When I was a little girl, we had an Irish Terrier called Tan and I like to include her because I try to create a sense of nostalga within my work.
She reminds me of a time when life seemed very simple with no worries and the world was a lovely place (or so it seemed)
Here's one of my paintings with her
waiting patiently for us to return.
and here she is again heading for the butcher's shop in Silverdale.
Tan loved sausages!
